Most local business websites publish useful information but give visitors little to take away. People arrive, look, and leave without joining a customer list.
Give visitors something to take with them
Instead of relying only on a newsletter form, offer a digital loyalty card. A customer can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet without installing another app.
Use the same link everywhere
Put the card link on your website, in your social profile, on your Google Business Profile, and in your email signature. Print it as a QR code in-store. One destination can support several ways to join.
Follow up automatically
A new member who has not visited can receive a gentle push reminder about the reward waiting for them. Set the timing and message around your own customer journey.
Measure the handful of numbers that matter
Watch cards issued, first-visit redemption, and return visits. If people join but do not redeem, review the opening offer. If they redeem but do not return, review the ongoing reward and follow-up timing.
The shift: treat your website as an entry point to an ongoing customer relationship, not only as a brochure.
