Salons · nail & lash shops
A salon loyalty program you can run this week.
Clients forget to rebook. Tuesdays go quiet. Start with one reward, stamp every paid visit, and send a short note when they're due. Copy the structure below — paper is fine.

A digital loyalty card at the desk is optional. The reward works on paper too.
Copy a simple reward
Fill in your own prices. One reward per service. Don't give away the high-margin work on visit three.
Visits-to-reward examples
A simple salon loyalty program (copy and fill in) Nails Buy 8, get a basic manicure free. (Or: 8 visits → $15 off the next set.) Lash fills Buy 6 fills, get the 7th fill free. Haircut Buy 6 cuts, get $20 off or a complimentary blowout. Color Buy 4 color visits, get a complimentary gloss. Write one reward in one sentence. Put it on a card, a desk sign, or a digital loyalty card. Stamp every paid visit. Don't stack three rewards at once.
Rebooking and slow-Tuesday notes
Ready-to-send notes (text, email, or wallet) Rebook after a fill Hi [name] — you're about due for your fill. I have Thursday 2:00 and Friday 11:00. Reply with a time. Slow Tuesday Two fill openings tomorrow afternoon. First to reply gets the chair. After they leave without a next date Thanks for coming in. Next fill is usually 2–3 weeks. Want me to hold [date] at [time]? Quiet Wednesday I have a colour opening Wednesday at 3. If you want it, reply YES and I'll book you.
How to set it up yourself
How to set this up yourself this week 1. Pick one reward. Write it in one sentence (use the examples above). 2. Put a sign at the desk: "8 visits = a free basic manicure. Ask us to stamp." 3. Track visits in a notebook, a spreadsheet, or a digital loyalty card — one row per client. 4. At checkout, say: "Want this stamped? No app." 5. Before they leave, offer the next date. If they can't, send the rebook note when they're due. 6. On a slow Tuesday, send one short note to people who already visit you. One offer, one time. You can run that on paper. A digital loyalty card just keeps the stamps on their phone and lets the note hit the lock screen.
Pair this with a written late-cancel rule. Copy a salon no-show policy template.
Helpful free resources
Official help pages you can use this week, whether or not you ever book a demo. Each opens in a new tab.
- Square Appointments: confirmations and reminders (opens in a new tab)
In Square Dashboard go to Appointments → Settings → Communications. Turn on text and/or email reminders and pick how far ahead they send — set that before your cancel window so people can still move the time.
- Google Business Profile: review link and QR code (opens in a new tab)
On a computer, open your Business Profile → Read reviews → Get more reviews. Copy the link or save the QR for receipts and the desk. Don’t trade a discount for a star — Google treats that as fake engagement.
- Canva: front-desk sign templates (opens in a new tab)
Open the sign maker, pick a simple template, and put your reward or late-cancel rule in large type. Download a PDF and print it for the desk so the same wording as your booking page is in front of people at check-in.
- Apple Wallet: add a pass (opens in a new tab)
When a client gets your card, they tap Add to Apple Wallet and follow the prompts. If they don’t see that button, the business that issued the pass hasn’t enabled it — they don’t install a separate app.
- Google Wallet: add a pass (opens in a new tab)
On the issuer’s site or in the message, they tap Add to Google Wallet, accept the terms, and tap View in Wallet. Loyalty cards are one of the pass types this page covers.
- Virginia SBDC: free advising near you (opens in a new tab)
No-cost, confidential advising for Virginia shop owners. The office list includes Greater Roanoke & NRV SBDC (Roanoke and the New River Valley, 540-632-1174). Book a session and bring the one problem you want help with — rebooking, a no-show rule, or a slow-night promo.
If you want the stamps on their phone
A digital loyalty card, set up with you

Package shops renew at $149/month after year one and keep the top-tier features (normally $249/month). We'll have your card live in 3 business days.
- One-scan sign-up — no extra app
- Stamps or a visit pack on their phone
- Free lock-screen notes for rebooking and slow weekdays
